Freestyle Academy proudly presents
We were inspired by our peers and their stories about their experiences in online school. We grew from the number of times we had to do trial and error to figure out how to make our work great. Our main challenge was trying to get the vocals on the soundtrack to fully mute, but we eventually figured out how to adjust the track and the settings to achieve that. The other challenge was getting our singing in time with the soundtrack, which through plenty of practice and takes, was successful. We would probably add in even more harmonies if we could have gotten a hold of the harmony notes. We are super proud of all the effort we put into this project, coming into and during this unit both of us were very challenged by audio editing, and it took a lot of energy and time to create good work. We both learned that this was not necessarily something that we enjoy, but we recognize that this is an important skill which we will probably need to know about in our futures. Both of us want careers in the film industry, so knowing how to edit audio ourselves (or at bare minimum, knowing the process of editing audio) is a tool that will help us later on. This project confirmed for us that audio editing is challenging and a difficult skill to master.
